Booster Solvents

ESTISOL 130 and ESTISOL 135 are applied in graffiti removers, paint strippers, resin cleaners, specialty coatings, adhesives and other areas, where substitution of traditional, hazardous “power solvents” is required

Both products are non-flammable and do not carry any environmental hazard labelling.

ESTISOL 130 and ESTISOL 135 are applied booster solvents for commodity solvents such as dibasic ester.

Testing ESTISOL 130 as booster for dibasic ester in paint strippers

A black aerosol paint was applied on a steel plate and allowed to dry at room temperature overnight.

Three solvents were tested:

•        ESTISOL 130
•        A mixture of 30% ESTISOL 130 and 70% ESTISOL 150 (Dibasic ester)
•        ESTISOL 150 (Dibasic ester)

The solvents attack the paint after 5 min. and the paint can easily be removed without strong mechanical action.

The results for the pure ESTISOL 130 and the mixture of ESTISOL 130 and ESTISOL 150 are almost the same. It is demonstrated that ESTISOL 130 works as a very efficient booster for low-priced commodity ester solvents
