VOC reduction is key! (01.02.08):
A reduction of the content of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in chemical products is a key issue for today's formulators. Esti Chem is offering a range of ESTISOL fatty acid esters, which can be applied as alternatives to traditional VOCs (for example hydrocarbons) in numerous chemical formulations.
Another possibility, which is used in many cleaning applications, is to go from a solvent-based to a water based system. For this area Esti Chem is offering ESTISURF performance packages used as basis for formulation of micro emulsions. Esti Chem´s ESTISOL and ESTISURF products are high-performance alternatives to VOCs and have a good profile regarding environmental and workers safety properties.

New Esti Chem Sales Manager for Nordic area (01.06.07)
Mr. Jørgen Rasmussen has joined Esti Chem on March 1st 2007, to work as Sales Manager for the Nordic area. He has a long career in sales of industrial chemicals & plastics and will gradually take over commercial customer responsibilities. Thomas Mathiesen will support him on the technical side.

Esti Chem A/S takes over the Nordic distribution of products (01.01.07)
As from January 1st, 2007 Esti Chem A/S takes over the Nordic distribution of the specialty products from Additiv-Chemie Luers (ACL) located in Delmenhorst/Germany.
ACL is a majority shareholder in Esti Chem A/S, and this step will further strengthen the relation and cooperation between the two companies.
ACL is a leading producer in Europe of emulsifiers and additives for metal working fluids, lubricants and other formulated functional fluids.
Esti Chem A/S has for many years been active in the metal working fluid and cleaner markiet segments, and will continue to explore new business possibilities with this interesting product range.

New ownership (01.05.06)
On 27th April 2006, a share purchase agreement was signed between the owner, The Dow Chemical Company (TDCC), and Additiv-Chemie Luers GmbH & Co. (ACL) reg. takeover of all shares in the company Esti Chem A/S effective as per 30th April 2006.
TDCC is going through a re-organization process streamlining the organization to face the global challenges of the chemical industry. In that connection it has been decided to divest Esti Chem A/S as there is little overlap with the other TDCC business units.
Esti Chem will be owned by the General Manager for Esti Chem A/S Thomas Mathiesen and the German specialty chemicals producer Additive-Chemie Luers GmbH & Co.
The customers will realize the following benefits following this re-organization: Esti Chem will regain its independence and flexibility outside TDCC and will improve the possibility for servicing customers with tailor-made specialty products. Through own R&D projects and joint developments with Additiv-Chemie Luers GmbH & Co. we will enlarge our position as supplier of tailor made ester-based components and micro emulsions for use in industrial applications.
